PROGRAMM
May 2 Arrival in JEKABPILS in the afternoon/ evening; hotel; relaxation after the long way.
May 3
In AKNISTE the whole day:
-
arranging the exhibition “Friendship” and “The European meadow”;
-
excursion about Akniste;
getting to know our lifestyle;
-
opening of the exhibition;
-
social gathering in a traditionally Latvian style.

Leaving for the hotel in
Jekabpils (42 km).
May 4 In JEKABPILS and LIVANI:
- Till lunch Jekabpils: Shopping in our arts&crafts shops to get the taste of really Latvian handmade things and to buy souvenirs;
- After lunch going to Livani (25 km):
ü Visiting local arts&crafts museum;
ü Visiting Glass factory, which is still working with old methods.
- In the evening: relaxation program using the hotel facilities.
May 5
In AKNISTE the whole day- AKNISTE CULTURE DAY:
- Our workshops;
- Joining the activities within the Culture Day program;
- Taking part in the final concert of Akniste amateur groups; the local people will be especially delighted to enjoy the short performances of the partners of our project: making the feeling that we are in Europe and with Europe; We are so beautiful and natural when we sing and dance!
- In the Akniste Adult Education center: Saying Good-bye to Akniste and OUR ARTS&CRAFTS project, to each other.
- Leaving for the hotel in Jekabpils – quite late.
May 6
Leaving from JEKABPILS to RIGA by train
The European meadow
with our different flowers will be arranged on the stage. Our exhibits on the
theme Friendship will be arranged in the hall, on the tables and walls- as usual.
